Thanks for the Pinot suggestions--I will definitely try those--I think I may have had a few but need to revisit them. I concur about the Red Flyer wine--a definite bargain and very fun packaging (I used the bottle as a vase for a little while).

Ive had the epicuro in the past-wasnt overwhelmed but a nice wine for the price. Cant wait to try the Xs wine and will still put in a vote for the Red Flyer. For the price its arguably the best wine Ive ever had for an everyday drinker. I compare it to the Ghost Pines can that goes for roughly 20 bucks a bottle. Nice blog BTW and Go Kings!

robusto, I am finishing up the XS now. If I don't get it posted tonight I will tomorrow. In a nutshell, manufactured but good! Don't hesitate to grab a bottle or two...

Megan, I have had the Salice Salentino. I didn't care for it as much as the Aglianico. It was a bit more rustic or funky depending on your point of view. That said certainly an interesting experience and worth the $5. I've had 3 or 4 bottles, just not worthy of grabbing a case.

I picked up a bottle of the Epicuro Anglianico this weekend but haven't given it a try yet. Have you had the Salice Salentino?

I thought the Gravity Hills Zin was so-so -- definitely drinkable, but nothing special. I concur, the Syrah made more of an impression. A fairly rich, meaty flavor for a steal!

Jason,

Quaffed a bottle of Epicuro Anglianico yesterday afternoon and it was excellent. Thanks for the recommendation. Can't wait to try the XS and, by the way, Go Kings!!
