The 2009 Terrenal Mendoza Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec are both under the hasgacha of the OU and are of course kosher for passover. They are Mevushal and have aseconadry (or primary depending on how you see things) hashgacha that I cannot read, because it is so small.

The Cab is OK, but the Malbec is nice. Drink up, as these wines may live a year still, but are not meant for cellaring.

Finally, I live in Northern California, and the Trader Joes by us has tons of these two wines. We call them the "Kosher 2 Buck Chuck", which of course makes NO SENSE, as even the original 2 buck chuck is now three dollars, and of course, this is not made by Charles Shaw.

Maybe a better name would be "Four Buck Shim", who knows....

Please send my comment to Harlan.
The South American Tierra Salvaje 2001-2003 are too old.
Our Spanish Tierra Salvaje 2001-2003 are still good if they were kept in the proper enviroment.
Our newest TS 2009 whites and 2008 reds are very good and you can find them at www.kosherwine.com for $4.99. Please let me know how they are after you try.
Best regards

@Harlan Very good insight that I had not considered. Within the realm of kosher wines I can see how this would have an entirely different value proposition. Hopefully you enjoyed the Malbec as well!

Definately the Terrenal Cab is worth the 4 bucks- try to find another kosher wine at that price that is drinkable , let alone exists. I have bought some of the Tierra Salvaje at a closeout from earlier vintages and it was undrinkable, but this the 2009 you can be happy to serve I just purchased the Malbec and can't wait to see what its like.. L'Chaim Chevra ( thank you T-J's)
