My wife poured some with a nice [organic buffalo] stew from the pot on a snowy evening here in DC. I immediately exclaimed "I taste fruit" - "is that the wine?" I described the taste of "dark fruit", "almost chocolate" that blossomed in the aftertaste. Came upstairs and googled this. Yum. We have a few more bottles and a few more months of stew weather. Some of the guests liked it at first, until they looked back at some of the TJ's offerings that were opened later. Great blog!
